All that is packed into thoughtful lyrics, warm melodies and smooth raps over an electric collection of keys, drums, and a super-funky bassline!

Recent local and global events have changed our lives forever: a pandemic shut down the globe, accompanied by death, sickness, and talk of conspiracies. 🚨 America went from threats of war, to aliens, to more tales of police brutality, children in cages, and political divide due to lack of leadership, misinformation, and mishandling of crises. 🌎 Around the world, people barely hung onto hope, but thankfully are now recovering. 🙏🏽 Now, while we continue to collectively push for a better world, for justice and equality, we get down to the music and share in its joy with "The Boost," because we are resilient! ✊🏽

Originally produced, written, and recorded during the summer of 2010, "Subway" laid dormant among the musical archives of both singer Cee Nario and producer SoulChef. They continued working together on and off through the years as they focused on their own individual and group projects, but in late 2017, Cee Nario began performing the "new" song for the first time at live shows. After receiving an overwhelmingly positive response, Cee Nario decided it was time to dust off the original song, remaster the track, and plan a music video. With SoulChef on board, the duo decided to independently release their first official single together in Spring 2018 for the masses to enjoy.
